In the special environment prepared for our children in our schools, we empower the children to express their inner need when they say "Help me to do it by myself!" The Pre - Primary curriculum has been planned after a lot of research where emphasis is on Language arts, Mathematics, Practical Life and Sensorial Perceptions. Our activities and lesson plans encourage small group activity as well as individual work and aid the child in the process of integration of body and mind through work. The whole curriculum assists holistic human development intellectually, physically, socially and the wide range of activities refines sensory perceptions and helps the child adapting to wider environment of "universe."

Montessori philosophy is based on the fact that curiosity, learning, and developmental progression are inborn needs of children. Given the proper environment and guidance, youngsters will gravitate toward purposeful activity. This environment must accommodate individual interests, needs, and learning styles.

Characteristic of a good Montessori environment is discovery through manipulative and "real life applications." This approach is far preferable to rote learning or mechanical imitation. Children also need freedom of movement and choice, but responsibility must accompany freedom. Students are responsible for completing assignments, maintaining order, and respecting the learning environment and rights of others.

To assure a comfortable transition into subsequent educational environments, students are also exposed to study skills required in traditional educational settings. Montessori apparatus is augmented by other carefully selected learning materials

Our child-centered approach is designed using best practice from around the world and includes a holistic approach, with varied experiences and expressive processes which foster not only numeracy and literacy but also creativity and imagination.

In grades I V we have adopted the Cambridge International Primary Programme, CIPP, that allows our pre-existing strengths to be combined with a huge and thoughtful resource base developed by the University of Cambridge. This is thoughtfully combined with cutting-edge teaching practice, weekly staff training, and a focus on developing self-awareness and reflection among students.

Inquiry and the use of resources such as ICT complement all the strategies we use to help students to become life-long learners.

Musicals, art, drama, and public speaking, are important components of the programme. The school sports a large range of co-curricular activities, aided by talented teachers, experts, and parental support. The Reading Programme allows detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each child, and the reading Club promotes good oral expression of the written word. Team and individual sports are a central part of the experience at EAS..

The Middle School curriculum is based on the school´s general academic aims of developing critical thinking and inculcating the attitudes and skills of successful life-long learners. The curriculum is aligned to the Cambridge International Primary Programme which precedes it and prepares students for the rigorous academic demands of IGCSE in grades 9 and 10. The Curriculum is designed to ensure that students have a smooth transition from Middle School to Senior School.
